Start with devices and the final handoff
If you begin a short video on your phone and finish it at a desk, CapCut Pro is the plan to inspect: the vendor describes membership benefits across mobile, desktop and web under one account. Standard benefits are limited to mobile in supported regions. This comparison covers Premiere on desktop. Its individual plan also mentions iPhone access, but that does not establish matching features or an identical project workflow. If another editor must receive your working file, ask which application and version they use before choosing. Device availability alone does not prove that a complex edit will transfer intact.

Adobe documents different cancellation rules for annual and month-to-month plans, so inspect the contract you are actually offered. Record the currency, renewal amount, billing interval and commitment for both candidates. A comparison cannot establish which is cheaper for you without those matching terms.

CapCut lets free users preview some premium resources, while export can require Pro when those resources or restricted settings are used. A finished-looking preview therefore does not settle the bill. Create a short sample containing the actual title, effect, caption style and output settings you need, then attempt the export. Premiere advertises a seven-day trial that converts to a paid membership unless cancelled. Decide whether that trial fits your schedule before starting it. In either app, open the resulting file outside the editor and check the whole clip for missing captions, audio sync and unintended watermarks.

CapCut lists automatic captions in its Pro tool overview; that listing does not prove every caption operation is paid or settle accuracy on your speech. Premiere Text-Based Editing uses transcript changes to assemble and trim the video itself. Adobe explicitly separates that operation from generating captions on the final edited sequence. For a talking-head edit, distinguish removing a spoken sentence from correcting the words shown on screen. Try both operations with a brief sample that includes a name, a pause and background noise. Count the repairs yourself. This research does not establish a caption-accuracy or time-saving winner.

Premiere documents captions burned into the image, separate sidecar files and supported embedded-caption formats. Its SRT route supports one stream per file.
