10 features
Row headings group related topics. Each answer keeps its specific scope. An unverified answer means we do not have enough evidence.
Local work
Core editing, conversion, playback and local backup run on the device.
Optional online processing
Choosing an online translation, speech or OCR provider can send the required data directly to that provider under its own privacy policy.
Fixed subtitle delay
Adjust all times shifts every line, selected lines or selected lines and subsequent cues earlier or later by a chosen amount.
Changing subtitle drift
Point sync uses reference positions to synchronize cues when a single offset is insufficient.
Subtitle conversion
The seconv command-line converter supports subtitle format conversion with explicit encoding and output-folder controls.
Video caption tools
The documentation covers speech-to-text, subtitle burn-in and embedded subtitle tracks as separate workflows.
Availability in documentation does not establish recognition quality or a successful video export in our test.
Observed SRT shift
seconv 5.2.0 shifted all 12 cues in three synthetic SRT files exactly 1.5 seconds earlier while preserving their text and line breaks.
Windows x64 file-level test on 3 October 2026. English, Simplified Chinese and Spanish samples had four cues each. No audio or video synchronization was measured.
Transcription accuracy
Not evaluated in our test.
Importing and shifting existing text does not test automatic captions, translation quality or accent handling.
